Halloween

Our Halloween day was jam-packed. Actually, the whole weekend was! But, today, we had to carve pumpkins--took 2 hours! Then we headed to my parents' house for a party, which kept the kids really busy and hyper!! We went trick-or-treating in both of the Grandparents' neighborhoods and then finally collapsed at home. Whew! The kids had a blast, though!

Nathan is checking out a pumpkin for the 1st time.

Brian carved his pumpkin to match his teeth--we do this at every child's 1st Halloween.

Hunter picked a skeleton pirate.

Lily picked a girl.

Samuel just made up a face.

Here's some action from the party. I bobbed for apples, played musical chairs, went into the scary garage and played Simon Says today. I then took a nap for 30 minutes.

Hunter was Wolverine. His cousin, Anden, is next to him in his dragon costume.

Lily was Wonder Woman.

My cheesy Nathan was a dinosaur. Super cute and fun outfit--it was warm enough that he got to ride in the stroller for a bit. He didn't mind the costume at all, which was great.

And, my Samuel. He was a bee and he had a fantastic time trick-or-treating. He enjoyed the rest of the day, as long as his Dad was right by his side at all times. :)

Now Halloween is finally over! The anticipation just isn't as fun for this holiday--it drags on. The kids are excited for all their candy--Brian and I didn't even steal any after they went to bed! I'm impressed with us.
