Flashback Friday

Okay, Travis, I tried to find "big hair" pictures but I don't think I have any. My cowlick (and yes, everyone, that is how you spell it) prevented it, I guess. However, I did find a picture of the love of my life. Perhaps you think I mean Brian. No, the dog. Patagonia was my puppy and I loved her more than anyone--you can ask Brian and he will testify. :) I someday want another Vizsla just like her. I added another picture of Brian to make up for it. The one with me in it was taken just a couple weeks after we starting "going out". I was 16 and he was 19! We don't look any different, do we?? :)

The Summary of My Morning

Hunter sang this song today: "Old McDonald had a farm. EIEIO. And on that farm he had a....MOM! EIEIO. With yelling here, yelling there..."

*Sigh* That IS how my morning (with him, anyway) went.

Flashback Friday

I saw Travis had "Flashback Friday" today and I thought that could be an excellent idea for me. I am in a self-imposed time out because I am so upset w/my precious twins. They did not follow instructions on how to behave when the Grant Wood AEA service coordinator came to have me sign papers today (for Samuel's speech). Instead, they chose to scream loudly, slide down the stairs head-first repeatedly and in no way listen to the previous instructions, the new instructions I gave while she was here and the instructions I tried to send with my facial expressions. So, Flashback Friday is to save their hides and calm me down--because looking at their baby pictures makes me so thankful for them. Aren't they sweet--or weren't they sweet at that time?? :) Thankfully, they are all 3 off to Papa and Grandma PJ's for a slumber party with some of their cousins tonight.

Sunday Sickness

I was loading pictures onto my computer and saw that I had these from a couple weeks ago. This is the 1st time this has happened to us and I am still not sure of the reason. I was afraid I had given them food poisoning but Brian and I didn't get sick so not sure... Anyway, Hunter woke up first and made it to the bathroom to throw up. Lily then came down and was ready over the toilet to throw up when we heard Samuel in his crib throwing up. Lily never did throw up but you could tell she didn't feel well (I've never used the words "throw up" so much in a paragraph before!). All 3 slept the morning away and woke up feeling much better. Needless to say, we missed church that Sunday AGAIN.

Samuel's Speech

Well, this morning was Samuel's assessment by the speech teacher, Janet. He was in a horrible mood all morning--screamed and cried no matter what I offered. However, he behaved beautifully for Janet. He, of course, didn't go immediately toward her but he warmed up quickly to her puzzles and blocks. He qualifies for help so we'll be seeing Janet a lot more and it sounds like she'll bring toys each time so Samuel should be fine with it! I haven't been anxious at all about his lack of vocabulary because he gest his message across in other ways and I think it's funny how he acts things out but I am looking forward to watching him grow and start using more words!!

Blogging Issues

Okay, I love that I can add my playlist because I love my ipod and listen to music constantly. However, I am bummed that they do not have the following songs (that I feel the need to list):
-Less Like Scars by Sara Groves
-I Asked You For Life by Kim Walker
-Praise the King by Cindy Morgan
-Should I Tell Them by Shaun Groves
-When The Saints by Sara Groves
-Lift Me Up by Kate Voegele
-What Do I Know Of Holy by Addison Road

Also, I could not for the life of me figure out how to insert a slideshow (One True Media) into my post so I had to add them all instead. If someone can help me with that, I would appreciate it!!

Catch Up

December-February

My last blog post was on December 2nd so I have to figure out what I haven't posted about. I will try to make a run down:

December:
-Just the usual dance class, preschool, Awanas, MOPS...
-Hunter and Lily had their first eye appointment--neither needed glasses.
-I (barely) survived Brian's deer season once again. He (barely) survived my bad mood.
-Hunter and Lily had their first Christmas program and it was too adorable. I laughed and tried not to cry and my big kids.
-We survived Christmas!! It seems like forever ago so I'm not sure I can comment on anything. Lily had the stomach flu Christmas Eve so we missed church. The kids were blessed with way too many toys!! But it was a good time!

January:
-Well, this didn't happen first but MOST important was my birthday. Woo Hoo! I am 31 now and confident it will bring much better things.
-On that note, I had many birthday celebrations with family and friends and loved every minute of it!
-I visited some school prospects for the twins and had major anxiety about the whole thing.
-I started Beth Moore's study entitled "Esther: It's Tough Being A Woman" and am still in it--it's great!!
-I had 2 appointments with a hematologist to discuss my panel of tests the OB had done. It turns out I am homozygous for MTHFR mutation. I had hope this explained 2 miscarriages in a row but after further testing, the specialist couldn't confirm that it did cause the losses and, in fact, felt it was not related. As for lifetime affects, I am deficient in Vitamin B so I have to take mega doses of folic acid forever. That's not such a bad side effect!!
-I survived my side of the family and our crazy month of birthdays. My Mom, sister, nephew, 2 nieces and myself all have birthdays in January. It's a lot of cake!!

February:
-My baby, Samuel, turned 2. Boo hoo!! He's so big (well, according to the doctor, he's small) and so incredibly independent overnight. He accepts help from no one!!
-We had Christy out from Grant Wood AEA to talk to me about Samuel's speech (lack thereof) and that was fun. It is easy for me to recount the words Samuel knows: "NO!", "Mama!" and "Dad!". Okay, sometimes he says "I got it!". That's it. So Christy and Janet (speech teacher) will be visiting us tomorrow to play with Samuel. None of my kids have been in to strangers or people in general (where do they get that from??) so this will be interesting!!
-Hunter and Lily got report cards from preschool and it was sooo fun/funny!!
-Valentine's Day passed without much notice. We had the kids so Brian and I just ordered Chinese and watched cartoons. :)
-We are thankful Brian has a job at Rockwell since they have been laying off. He should be pretty safe because he is "up there" on the seniority list.
-Oh, I almost forgot this one...I joined Weight Watchers with my sister. It is sooo fun to do something with Andrea and I love this program. Brian is beating me on the weight loss but at least we are all having fun! :)

Okay, that's all I can think of although I am sure I forgot something. I promise to not blog so much next time...

First Thing...

First of all, I have to explain my new blog. I love catching up on "old friends" and blogs are just an awesome way to do that. So I wanted to join in. Also, I absolutely love showing off pictures of my kids. This is the perfect way to do that. So here I am again. I named this one with my name so that I can make it more personal and it doesn't have to be all about the "Kreger family" here. I will try to do some posts to update you all (or just Travis--hee, hee).
