Week 29

A busy week this week!  Nathan and I played some math games for an assessment.  Samuel also had a math assessment.  He is so close to being done with his math book for the year.

Lily started a new book for her independent reading.

We worked on self-portraits for art.  Samuel was very resistant to this project!

We made candy sushi:

Lily and I went to see Beauty and the Beast.  2 cousins joined her but my picture with all 3 girls didn't turn out!

We had prize day!  We enjoyed pizza:

And prizes!

Samuel got an explosive lab kit so we tried out the volcano as soon as we could:

Finally, Nathan had his Pinewood Derby and he was determined to get a trophy!

He didn't win a trophy (5th place!) but Hunter gave him one of his so he was pretty happy.  Two of his cousins also made him homemade trophies!!  :)

Week 28

We did not take any pictures of school this week!  We did do school even though area schools were on spring break but the kids got Friday off because of a cousin sleepover!

We did get some snow pictures:

Week 27

This week, Nathan and I read Madeline and opened our box on France.  This was our last country box and they were a lot of fun!

We attempted to build the Eiffel Tower out of cookies and frosting!

The big kids worked on a mapping project...tracing the U.S. and adding some Native American mounds.  This was for our ancient history so it was around 700 B.C.

I'm forgetting pictures but we've kept busy!  This week is not spring break for us, like most other schools.  We are going to enjoy a slower schedule and still get work done!

Week 26

Nathan working on reading and rhyming.  He's doing really well and his attitude hasn't been as bad about reading lately.

For art this week, we made Mardi Gras masks:

I tried to get a picture of Samuel with his fractions and measuring cups but he hid.  Ugh!
