Week 32

This week in school...it was another crazy week because Lily had 2 dress rehearsals to prepare for the 2 performances on the weekend.  We fit in some schoolwork, though.

Hunter working on his reading skills:

Nathan finishing up his letters with Z:

For Konos, we made a tent and I put candy in it.  I told the kids they could go inside and eat the candy OR they could wait until the end of the school day and get something else.  Nathan was the only one really tempted!!  Ha ha!  They all ended up with the surprise goody bag.  This was for our patience unit.

No school for Nathan on Friday but he said, "Can I please have school, Mom?  I want to play matching bears." :)  No school required to play match!!  Although, after I made my first match, he requested that I just watch.

Hunter and Lily dissected a crayfish and I thought it was pretty neat.  This was for their science class at the homeschool building:

Lily did great in her 2 performances.  She said she wants to be in the play again next year.  I think she mainly likes the social aspect of it.

Other pics I had on my phone:
Lily working on her knitting.

The boys' gift boxes came:

Brian took the twins to the library again:

Week 31

A busy week again so it didn't feel like we were home to get work done a whole lot.  We did some reading and projects about butterflies and baby animals (our theme is patience):

These are the little report sheets they filled out after we read about animals.  Hunter did his about tigers, Lily chose dogs and Samuel picked a baby bird. Don't mind my foot in the photo.  :)

Nathan started the letter "Y" and we did some yarn work.  This is his shape sheet he completed:

We were over at my parents' house a lot this week because we had a lot of appointments.  The kids were thrilled, though!

One of our appointments was for Lily's bottom retainer-type piece in.  She seemed to struggle with this piece more than the top braces. She's getting used to it, though!

Catch Up Post: Easter and Back to School

I'm doing a catch up post so there's a lot of pictures!  We'll start with Easter.  The kids did an egg hunt at the Kregers earlier in the week to get spring break started!

Instead of Easter baskets this year, the kids got Build A Bear houses.

All dressed up for the day!

We then did an egg hunt at the PJ's on Easter.  It was a beautiful day and the kids enjoyed being together.

Other happenings during spring break....physicals for all the kids!  We all dread this but they did great.  Nathan had to get shots and a finger poke but he was brave!

We started back at school on the 7th but it was an all day field trip to a nearby camp.  It was very chilly out but we had fun!

Hunter climbed all the way up to ring the bell!

Nathan grew tired of the nature hikes.  :)

Can you see Lily up at the top??  She is doing the team bar, which involves standing on a plank and swinging to the next piece of wood.  She is the only one that would do it and she was scared but got through it!

Nathan is asleep on the bench while the others bundle up!

Everyone's favorite part was the pool!! It was sooo warm!

Thursday started up the last session for Homeschool classes.  Hunter and Lily had dissection class in the morning so the other 2 and I shopped Wal-Mart.

We have a lot of Easter goodies to play with it and eat.  Nathan got this sword and enjoyed playing the knight to Cinders' dragon.  :)

The weather has been great and the kids love to beg Brian to take them to a park in the evening.

That has been our last 2 weeks.  April is crazy busy but we'll finish up our school year in these next couple months! :)
