Week 18

Christmas school this week!  We finished our book, A Ghost Tale for Christmas, and did quite a few Christmas-themed worksheets to review some math and just have fun!  Everyone enjoyed the change of pace.  This picture below shows Samuel with a cat barrier because every time we sat around the tree together, she came out to bite one of us.  Ha!

We also played family Bingo a couple of nights, until my work schedule interfered!

Baking is done, the house is cleaned so just grocery shopping and the fun can begin!!!!!

We baked Christmas cookies:

Brian and the boys made peppermint-scented play dough:

Lily and Hunter worked on flips at gymnastics.  Nathan chose to not do flips but he did get 2nd place in the contest (no idea what the name of it was).

We did school on the floor, by the tree this week.  We used this board for math this week so Nathan wanted to draw a picture when he was done:

Samuel and I worked hard on converting our balance into a scale.  It was harder than it looked.

Hunter and I working on Math:

Week 15

Back to school except we had to remove the homeschool table for the tree!  So school is done on the couch or the floor now.

Nathan opened the box on Russia because we are reading a book located there.

We learned about Pangea in science so they tried to put the continents back together.

Working on coloring sheets:

Hunter has been interested in oil pastels since his last art class.  I happened to have some so I picked up this black art pad and all the boys drew a picture!

Samuel working on measuring inches/centimeters with his Barton tiles nearby.

Thursday was a review day for history so we used our excavating skills to find the treasure in the pharaoh's tomb.  :)

We had another sick day this week. We did manage to get reading done but otherwise, it was just a restful day for all of us!
