July Happenings

This month (summer?) is flying by!!  Here are a few pictures from our lives.  The Scouts had a sleepover at the ballfield and siblings are allowed!  Lily and Samuel were so excited to get to camp in a tent.  :)

While they were sitting in the heat, I was shopping Target with my Mom, Nathan and my niece, Kathryn.  We had just as much fun.  :)

My sister brought her oldest son's old Buzz tent over for Nathan while we were there.  He is in a Buzz Lightyear phase so this was pretty exciting for him.

We've stuck to school 2x week.  I keep planning on 3x week but it doesn't happen.  I am happy with this slow pace, though, just because we are getting something done.  Samuel is decorating sight words and Lily is working on multiplication (she hates it!).

Hunter had finished his work and was picking up the living room in preparation for our next activity...

That next activity was making a fort.  I picked up some clips from the Target $ section and I thought this would be a perfect use.  It worked out well.

Just 4 weeks of summer left...I admit that I am so ready to be done with heat and swimming and summer.  Bring on fall!  :)

Brian & Hunter at Webelos Camp

I don't have a ton to say about these pictures because I wasn't there!  It sounds like Brian and Hunter had a great time at camp and Hunter can't wait to go again.  Lots of pictures:

 *Love this pose!*

This is human foosball:

Horseshoes:

"Learning" about first aid.  Actually, he's sleeping.  Brian said he was out the whole 45 minutes.  Ha!

Archery!!  He was bummed to only try this once but was proud of his results.  :)  I believe Brian may have promised to get out his fake deer so they could try this at home.  Ha!

The BIG climbing tower:

Swimming:

Throwing last year's ashes into the campfire:

Crafting...Hunter gave me the keychain he made.  :)

Climbing the smaller wall:

Frisbee:

BB gun shooting:

Pride at hitting the "hard part":

Catching a little frog:

Hanging with Dad is a bonus:

The last night, they had a family carnival/dinner.  I somehow got my Dad talked into driving the kids and I there.  :)  It was buggy and I was worn out after a few hours so Brian made fun of me. Ha!  Oh well...  Hunter LOVED showing us all around.  He did run and hug me when he saw me...just saying.  :)

*Tick habitat sign.  Lovely.*
