Summer Catch Up

We've kept busy by playing with the cat:

Walking to the park/splash pad:

Doctor appointments:

Getting through severe weather and loss of power:

Watching caterpillars turn into butterflies and trying to protect them from the cat:

Swimming:

Going to parks with Dad:

And, playing outside while Dad grills supper:

A pretty fun and relaxed summer so far!!  We have had a week of sickness, though, so we are behind on the summer school plan--may need to take a week of work out.  :)  I have started looking ahead to next year's plans since it will be here before we know it!

Summer Fun

We have been busy enjoying our break from homeschool!!  This is just a lot of pictures of what we've been up to.  I hope to start up math and reading next week, though.  Wish me luck!  :)

We've gathered around the fire pit for s'mores, which were a huge hit!!

We've grilled out with Grandma Barb and enjoyed eating in the heat before taking everyone swimming!!

We finally tried out the beanbag game Papa Lee made us:

We took a celebration field trip to Build A Bear for finishing up our school year.  Just a fun treat since the kids really hadn't been there before.  This won't the the norm each year but it was FUN and the kids love their bears!!

The employee was making sure Samuel didn't want to kiss his heart before placing it in the bear--all the other kids did it but not Samuel!!  Ha!

We took Grandma PJ with us for crowd control.  :)

Nathan and Spiderman, dressed as Buzz.

Hunter and Black, dressed for Kung Fu.

Samuel and General, dressed appropriately.  :)

Lily and Sweetheart, dressed as a Princess.

The light was horrible for this picture but we all enjoyed a trip to Chili's after making bears.  Yum.

Finally, the kids enjoyed a fishing trip with Brian while I spent a day shopping by myself.  I think we all had a good time. :)  Tons of good pictures so I had a hard time narrowing down.  :)

Sack lunch picnic and, of course, Dad let them pick out a big old bottle of pop to take.  :)

Look at this little guy trying to drink that pop:

Let the fishing begin!!

Ha ha ha!  I love this picture:

So it hasn't all been boring days wondering what they are going to do--I'll have to remind them of that.  :)
