Week 21

This week we continued our study of nutrition, focusing on fruits and vegetables this week:
We finally finished our art project, took 3 weeks but they are pretty!

Writing sentences in reading (spelling) isn't anyone's favorite tasks but all the boys are moving right along in their reading program!

Nathan's math has been on shapes and weights and lengths recently.

The weather is nicer and the mud has started.  Ugh!

Everyone loves doing the virtual reality headset!

We had a day off this week for my 40th birthday!!  We were out all day, eating and shopping.  :)

Week 20

This week was a pretty full week of work.  Of course we took time to baby the cat, though.  :)

Hunter working on his spelling:

Nathan working on his spelling:

Samuel does not like his picture taken so instead I have a pic of his hippos with his handwriting.  I feel like he has fewer letter and number reversals but we're still working on it.

Lily and I had to spend extra time on a math lesson that she struggled with (lowest common denominator).  Math is definitely not her favorite!  :)

Week 19

We filled out our free notebooking page from Homeschool Share on George Washington this week.

Wearing a mask for handwriting:

Learning about fats in science:

Read aloud time often ends in naps for some people but our book is getting into the battle scenes so it's holding more attention now.

Math test!  He got 100%.

Hunter got to take the lead in the magnet experiments this week because he missed out last week due to illness.  He chose to wear his goggles for safety.  Ha!

Nathan started a Lego class at the homeschool building this week but it was a struggle.  Hopefully, he will be ready for the next class this week!

Week 18

On Wednesday, life got back to normal!  Back to school and work and finding the routine once again.

We started a new science book on food and nutrition.  Here we were making our food sweat and learning about the importance of water.

The boys took not inhaling iron filings very seriously.  Ha!  Our experiment book has us learning about magnets.  Poor Hunter will have to do this later because he was sick when we did this.

Christmas Break

Some pics from Christmas break before life gets back to normal.

1st family Christmas on Christmas Eve:

Christmas morning:

Christmas lunch is always a fun family meal!

2nd Family Christmas:

We transitioned quickly from Christmas to birthday!  Nathan turned 8!!!

We celebrated New Years with pizza, sparkling cider and going to bed right after midnight hit. :)

Unfortunately, after this, the stomach bug hit the house.  We've pretty much recovered from that are ready to start back into regular life today.
