Week 34

This week in school, Nathan continued a unit study on The Rag Coat.

It started out beautiful this week so we had a picnic and a walk with my parents on Monday:

Samuel continued his math assessments and he's almost done with this book!

Lily continued her writing program:

Hunter is playing his recorder in music time:

We finished up classes at the homeschool building so Nathan and I celebrated at Chili's!

In Scouts this week, Nathan made a boat!

Easter + Week 33

Easter fun!! We dyed eggs:

The kids got to pet ducks at Grandma Barb and Papa Lee's house!

Up early on Easter to have a silly string fight!

Samuel got a pokemon card binder and he put alot of time into organizing.  :)

Hunter got braces put on his bottom teeth on Wednesday so it was really an interrupted school week.  He had a sore few days.

Week 32

School this week...

Lily had a number of chapters to read this week so I told her to decide how many to do each day. She got through them all. I came in to get the work she was done with and the cat was laying on it so I had to wait.  :)

Art fun!  We made salt paintings for Easter.  Hunter and Samuel made Easter eggs, Lily a cross and Nathan made a butterfly.

Nathan and Black Spot thinking...he's checking our b/d sign to help him figure out if this is a b or d on the card.  He started reading compound words this week.

Read aloud time!  We are reading Greek myths and it doesn't keep everyone's attention.  Nathan was lulled to sleep this day and the cat joined him!

A little fire experiment.  We were seeing what was flammable and what was not.  Everyone got a turn putting two things in the fire.

We had Friday off for Good Friday and we'll have Monday off to recover from Easter, plus Samuel has a dentist appointment.  Back to regular schedule on Tuesday!

Week 31

Hunter trying to do his cursive but the cat is sitting right on top of his book!  

School table mess!  Nathan has been using tally sticks in math so he decided to spell his name.

Nathan started a class at the homeschool building all by himself!  He did great!!  We celebrated with lunch together.

The twins started an art class together and this is a sample of their projects from the 1st class.

Week 30

We had a full week of school and not a lot of pictures to show for it!
