This week was another short one because we took Monday off for Samuel's birthday--more on that later. We did get schoolwork done and even got through our 100th day of school!
Samuel reading his flipbook:
Nathan got a surprise for the letter 'K'--a locked house with keys. All the kids loved it!
Nathan watercoloring a kite:
Hunter had to create a floor plan for his reading this week. We'll be reading a story that includes info on a floor plan so the curriculum has him learning what one is first. Loving All About Reading 3!!
These 2 are getting along! Bonding over iPad time. :)
For Konos, we focused on crime and punishment. So, we made some detective hats:
Studied our fingerprints:
And practiced being sketch artists:
The final day we switched focus to disobedience, specifically the story of Jonah. We played 'pin Jonah on the whale' after reading the Bible passage. :)
Lily continued with play practice. This is the shirt from her play--she'll be a playing card:
Samuel's Birthday!! He wasn't sure he was feeling the greatest that day so he just sat at Playstation before lunch and played afterward.
We stopped at Grandma Barb's and Papa Lee's house afterward:
Then we headed home for presents and cards. You can see he has his piggy bank close by for cards. Ha! He knows Great-Grandma Hill and Aunt Nikki send money.
Unfortunately, by Wednesday, Samuel was sick. Maybe germs from the Playstation?
On Sunday, we celebrated his birthday at my parents' house. A nice week-long celebration of turning 8!!!!!
Such cute kids. Must be a riot sometimes. I grew up in a huge family and I know it can get really chaotic.
ReplyDeleteHappy burthday to your dearest.
